A luxury property on beautiful Grace Bay Beach, which is among the top beaches in the Caribbean, the all-inclusive Alexandra Resort caters well to families and couples alike. The rates are relatively high for the quality of the rooms, the service gets somewhat inconsistent reviews, and the spa has just two treatment rooms; but the resort offers a pristine white-sand beachfront (this factor upgrades the Overall Beach Resort Rating from the upper B range to the lower A range), a nice lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar, bikes for rent, a somewhat lively atmosphere, four on-site dining options including a beachside jerk grill, and a complimentary dining shuttle to sister properties Blue Haven Resort and the adults-only Beach House (guests have access to all amenities at these sister properties – not just the restaurants). All rooms have kitchens or kitchenettes, large decks and/or balconies, and flat-screen TVs; some have washer/dryers. Units range from studios to four-bedroom suites. Activities on-site and in the immediate vicinity include stand-up paddleboarding, yoga classes, kayaking, Hobie Cat sailing, jet skiing, guided sailing tours with snorkeling, kiteboarding, windsurfing, and scuba diving; excursions such as horseback riding and fishing can also be arranged. A few off-site shops and restaurants are within walking distance and there’s a car rental agency just across the street.
Departure COVID-19 antigen tests are available on-site for about $60.
